How this number is calculated
Cost per hour = (people who can’t work × their loaded hourly cost × how much work actually stops) + revenue lost per hour. Multiply by the length of a typical outage for the per-event cost, then by how often outages happen for the yearly figure. It’s deliberately conservative — it doesn’t count the harder-to-measure costs like frustrated guests, bad reviews, or missed calls.
